spent the last 6 days here in p. V. Mexico. I experienced the same on both our prepaid sims. The credit just dissapeared slowly. Had to call CSR (thank god its a free call) when initial credit, balance and usage was not adding up. Had to get refunded 11 and 9 dollars respectively on the sims.

I did that three times. When I got home I checked the online account info. It did not show the $3.00 charges. But adding the $9 and my usage and the current balance equals the $25 I put in at the start of the month. A call to customer service got me a credit for the $9. So if you happen to go to Mexico. Don't check your balance too often.

Nice to know I was not alone on that. 11 is not divisible by 3, though.

Hope the weather was tolerable. Having escaped the Southern Califonia weather while I was gone [all rain, all the time], Ensenada was just overcast the day I was there. I suspect P.V. was better than Chicago.

Yeah. Wonderful weather in Puerto Vallata. Came back to winter wonderland tonight. Snowing, cold, etc.

As for the erroneous charges - they just made no sense. I was charged for incomplete calls. For example, I will be charged for a 15 min call that started at 8:25. Then at 8:26 I was charged for another call. The latter call is legit, however the former call never completed. There were several cases line this on both sim cards. And AT&T could not explain it. I bought and put $25 on both cards just for this trip. They checked their system for legitimate calls, deducted it from the initial credit and refunded the balance.
