Hi prepaid-geeks,

I just signed up for a free fax to email number of a austrian provider and found something very interresting.

Under the label of "Freefon International", the austrian company "Denotos" sells a VOIP service within a numberrange of United Mobile. The numbers are listed as +423 663 99xxxxx

Prices are very low, starting from 1 Euro-Cent to fixed net within Europe and 15 Eurocent to mobiles. No surprise that they charge 42 Eurocent to call Liechtenstein mobiles....!

Their Mainsite (http://www.denotos.com/oem/at/myfon/myp_beschr.php3) describes the service in german, I have tried to translate it with babelfish.

"With our new service "freefon internationally" you don't need a usual fixed line any more:

* You will receive a genuine internationally attainable telephone phone number (no service call number, VoIP number or like) from us * keep you additional a SIP VoIP account
* arriving calls are sent to your denotos SIP account. Alternativley you could forward to another VoIP account (SIP, ENUM or DUNDI), a Web answering machine, to any international fixed line or mobile phone. It could also be recorded as a WAV file and sent to your email address.
* additionally you can manage all your voicemals through the web interface.
* with freefon internationally you call all other compatible VoIP networks free of charge and substantially more economically into the whole world, without possessing a phone or a phone connection
* Attainable world-wide under your denotos freefon international number, whereever you log on to the internet. This serivice works with every conventional telephone with SIP adapter or with each SIP compatible VoIP Client, e.g. Windows Messenger, Xten o.ae.

(End of translation)

Find the most usual rates here: http://www.denotos.com/oem/at/myfon/myp_preise.php3

... and a full list of countries here: http://www.denotos.com/oem/uk/myfon/freefo...ound_prices.htm

So what do you think about this.......

This range that they sell is considered premium rate. So I would not buy such a voip number since it would be very expensive to dial it from many (possibly not all) routes....
