Default New Sunrise Switzerland Tariffs - 05-10-2007, 09:29

Dear prepaid fans,

the swiss provider "sunrise" launched new tariffs and website yesterday. Interresting to see, that sunrise leaves that special swiss tariff-path of "pay the same minute price for one hour of on net calls".

Three new tariffs, one of them is a prepaid-tariff. The special thing about that is, sunrise go (the prepaid one) offers exactly the same rates than sunrise zero - but without minimum call charge. All charges are the same - you can't buy extra options on prepaid.

sunrise go
0.25 CHF to all fixed lines and sunrise (including mvno on net)
0.45 CHF to all other networks in switzerland
0.10 CHF for national SMS
0.20 CHF for international SMS (whole world)
calling the voicemail is FREE
calls to 0800 (freecall) is regarding their website now FREE (new to swiss prepaid offers)

sunrise zero (contract with 25 CHF minimum call charge)
0.25 CHF to all fixed lines and sunrise (including mvno on net)
0.45 CHF to all other networks in switzerland
0.10 CHF for national SMS
0.20 CHF for international SMS (whole world)
calling the voicemail is FREE
selection of add ons like 500 mb Data for CHF 7.50 or "Global" with fantastic roaming charges and calls abroad from the mobile from CHF 0.10 for a monthly fee of CHF 9.00

sunrise zero plus (contract with 50 CHF minimum call charge)
0.15 CHF to all fixed lines and sunrise (including mvno on net)
0.40 CHF to all other networks in switzerland
0.10 CHF for national SMS
0.20 CHF for international SMS (whole world)
calling the voicemail is FREE
selection of add ons like 500 mb Data for CHF 7.50 or "Global" with fantastic roaming charges and calls abroad from the mobile from CHF 0.10 for a monthly fee of CHF 9.00

If you join as a business coustomer, the "Global" option is included in your tariff for free - which makes it quite interresting. On the other hand it seems, that they try to get more revenue from the new tariffs. Compared to the old ones which offerred on net calls / fixed line calls for 0.49 CHF per hour (and less in contracts) it's more expensive. On the other hand, you always payed 0.49, also when just calling 50 seconds. The lower fixed line price (which is cheaper than any discount mvno) of CHF 0.25 might be interresting for those who only place short calls on net and fixed line.

Greetings, BK
