Cosmote Greece has launched a new prepaid offer under the name "Ciao Mobile" which offers cheap rates for calls to the US, Albania and Italy (cheaper than their greek rates) and also cheep rates for Ciao to Ciao calls and 4c/SMS in Greece and all networks abroad!
They also offer a 5 Euro package which offers 30 minutes and 30 SMS towards AMC Albania (a Cosmote company), which probably matches the Vodafone International offer by Vodafone GR for calls to Vodafone AL!

It seems the english version of the site is still under development, but the price list link is working, although there is a "Frog mobile" banner on top. They literally copied the successful Frog concept for immigrants and tourists!]

It is worth noting that the new offer, like "Frog Mobile" is presented as a different "network" (although not technically an MVNO, but no refference is made to Cosmote) and one has to go through MNP even if they want to transfer from an existing Cosmote prepaid!

Nevertheless, unlike "Frog Mobile" which has its own recharge cards, "Ciao mobile" will be recharged using the standard Cosmote recharge vouchers!

The connection package costs 5 Euros (like almost all connection packages in Greece) and offers 1 Euro of airtime every month for 5 months.

Italians, Albanians and Americans visiting Greece this summer, get ready to talk!

Well it seems this offer is mostly targeted towards the large number of Albanians living in Greece because there is also a lot of Albanians in Italy and thus this package offers them cheap calls back home to Albania, to possible relatives in Italy and of course the US, the No.1 immigration country!

Of course it suits also Italians visiting or living in Greece and people who want to call the US!

I hope this prepaid offer is added in the Greek section of prepaidgsm.net "National Operators" soon!
