Default Carrefour = RIP OFF - 03-05-2012, 19:27

I'm in Spain and I added 70 Euros to my Carrefour SIM card on the 30th. Today they say my balance is 3 Euros and I don't talk more than an hour per day, all within Spain. My wife is Spanish and she called them and they refuse to do anything about it. They won't tell us about the calls that were made or if any were made out of the country. I know we didn't make any international calls so if there are international calls on the account there is some sort of an error but they won't even tell us that. They say they're going to email us a record of the calls but I don't have any confidence that that will happen.

We had a separate problem on a Carrefour data SIM this morning that they couldn't or wouldn't fix either. Two separate Carrefour SIM cards and two separate rip offs with a very unhelpful customer service department.

Absolutely not. That SIM is only used in an old GSM phone which can't go on the internet.

I just got an explanation from Carrefour though. According to them, they charge $0.50(Euro)/minute for calls to 902 numbers. Their documentation only states $0.08(Euro)/minute and does not mention $0.50(Euro)/minute anywhere. Here's the best part. Their own customer service number is a 902 number. Calling Carrefour to fix a Carrefour problem on my Carrefour cell phone cost my Carrefour account $50(Euro)! And I thought Sprint in the US was a rip-off....

Do other Spanish carriers charge an exorbitant amount to call a 902 number?
