I have it and works well but I cannot say anything about the option you mentioned.

http://www.ais.co.th/roaming/4g/en/

I got this simcard from AIS Thailand and I activated the unlimited Dataplan with 2 mbits.

Here you can choose between the unlimited data which is very cool

Hi Svenn.
We had a very similar thread on Telefon-Treff Forum where you hyped this very SIM. You got a quite harsh response from me about your comments.

And here it goes again: You are promoting a SIM which is sold with a 69% surcharge on eBay. AIS SIM2FLY is intended for outbound tourists from Thailand. So they are a good option, if you start a SE asia trip from there. Now, they are sold all over the region.

But it's practically impossible to keep this SIM or plan alive from abroad. Thai top-up rules give 30 days of additional service, if you top-up THB 10 or more. So you need to top-up 12-times to a get a year of service or SIM validity. Top-ups from abroad are only through 3rd party agencies that charge a premium of up to 30% and minimum top-up amount is 50 THB.

You keep saying that you are using this Thai SIM. But you don't say, how you handle them. And then you keep linking websites of AIS for domestic Thai data packages, that can't be activated on the SIM2FLY, nor work outside of Thailand in roaming?

So I'm really asking: Why are you doing this? Some have suspected a commercial profile behind your account, others a boaster. I can't figure out any sense in what you are saying......
Looking at your last post of this thread: there you link a AIS roaming website and another one about domestic AIS packages suggesting that these packs work in international roaming, which is quite deceptive.
So again my question: Why are you doing this?

And I tried to explain to you, that there is not such a thing like "unlimited" in international roaming.
They can advertize with this buzzword, but they throttle or downgrade after a certain quota.

BNE SIM has a very high margin: 100 GB for a month. Have you tried it?
If so, how do you handle them? I keep on asking. You can't top-up a BNE SIM with a new "unlimited" pack. You have to buy a new SIM.

You keep on making proposals like this or that SIM labeled as "unlimited". But what is "unlimited" for you? How do you define "unlimited"? Please give me a definition.
For instance the Rewheel market research center in Finland defines "unlimited" as at least 100 GB at min. 4 Mbps in 4G/LTE. This is a clear definition of what to call "unlimited" and what not.

But like the industry you blur the term "unlimited" and extend it to every package which is not shut off. For instance is the T-Mobile USA "unlimited" data roaming in 140+ countries "unlimited" or not - as it's limited to 2G speeds. Or do you mean "unlimited" domestic data plans? Not roaming plans. These are available in many countries now, but not for international roaming!

And again: How do you handle all your proposals?
1.) BNE SIM: unlimited pack once-off only as starter, no refill
2.) AIS SIM2FLY: Hard to top-up from abroad. Needs to be refilled 12-times for a year of validity at a premium of 5-30%.
How do you keep these SIM cards alive for occasional journeys?

I'm a roaming freak as you are, but if you want to be taken seriously, you need to specify your proposals. All I hear from you are this or that SIM or operator is called or advertises as "unlimited". And you say it's a great thing. Asking for details, you evade. So one can wonder what you are up to?
