Well after seeing this post, I checked my account with GT-SIM. So far it is still post paid. However, I have not used it since early April. I wonder if the next transaction will trigger the account to be converted.

I went with them based on the tie in to the charge card and only having very infrequent need of a service available in Europe. I had planned on making a couple of calls only often enough to keep the service from being cancelled, except, of course, when I needed the service.

The same thing happend to my account today. After complaining they only "offered" to give to refund back and cancel my account:

"wir haben alle PostPaid Konten auf PrePaid Auto umgestellt.

Hierzu haben Sie vor 10 Tagen ein Email bekommen.
Vertraglich sind wir dazu bevollmachtigt. M๖chten Sie jedoch
den GT-SIM nicht im PrePaid Modus weiterlaufen lassen, bieten wir Ihnen an das Restguthaben auf Ihre Kredit Karte gutzuschreiben und die GT-SIM Karte zu deaktivieren.

I got such an email (We are pleased to introduce our new way to top-up your GT-SIM account....)
but I thought this was a new option for prepaid customers.
4 weeks later than the first mail here, but still the same problem. No apologize any more, just offer to cancel your card.

I think I will accept to get the refund back and go to somewhere more serious.

I wonder how many customers they lost in the change from post- to pre-paid..
