The same VPN worked through virginmobile (on both laptop and mobile), so no doubts about the setup. APN must have been correct since toggle gave me access to the internet over the phone. Tethering in general must have equally worked, since some pages (google) opened via tethering on the laptop, even on toggle. It is as if only some (most) pages + vpn were blocked. Had it been more than a weekend I would´ve contacted customer support, like this I didn´t have the time. It´d be interesting to know before another potential trip though... Quote:
I maintain: It´s a pitty that Lyca seems to manage the complicated bits in setting up such a great service/idea, but fail miserably at packaging into a really beneficial/reliable offer. |

I don´t find it bad that the numbers are not there yet, but Lyca/Toggle seriously has to learn something about "expectation management". Why promise stuff for no specific reason, and then not keep it? |

I am in the US and got a new lycamobile SIM (Vodafone NL). I got a US local number, can make calls, text and even top up on T-Mobile network. However data is not working.
I set a new APN with the following settings. APN : data.lycamobile.co.uk Username: lmuk Password : plus The MCC and MNC (which I can't modify) are 204 and 04. I am on Nexus 4 Android 4.3 Any help to get data working is appreciated. Thanks. |

204 04 is a roaming profile. It should not be used when a local number is available in a country. Try changing to US profile in Toggle SIM menu.
You should probably see MCC/MNC 311/960 for US profile. |

Thank you. I was able to switch profile, however, there is still no data. I can get on the TMobile network for calls and text. Here's my new APN:
APN : data.lycamobile.co.uk Username : lmuk Password : plus MCC : 311 MNC : 96 MNC was automatically selected as 96. not 960, couldn't modify it. Thanks. |

311-96 by the way is Lycamobile's American tuple, so I'm not sure why you think it should be 311-960 which seems to be unassigned. Could you be overseeing that the US have multiple MCCs (310-316) and that only 310-960 exists (Plateau Wireless) but not 311-960?
