was in New Zealand and i bought this:

A few notes about the 2o SIM card

buy “National 3G Data Pack” (you get 100 MB for 10 NZD). With this you can receive calls in NZ for free. The National 3G Data Packs will be working almost all over due to roaming on Vodafone NZ when 2o is not covering. No extra costs.

Use the Top Up Voucher
You can buy a top up voucher from over 6000 places all over New Zealand, like dairies, petrol stations and supermarkets. Just look out for the logo of 2o. It's easy and all the instructions are on the voucher. The SIM will expire after 365 days, if no top up is done before. 2degrees - How to top up your Prepay mobile on 2degrees - 2degrees

You can unfortunately NOT top up with a foreign credit card on the home page, so you need to go to a shop and buy a voucher.
Phone numbers starting with 0800 is usually free to call from a NZ phone (e.g. booking of the ferries or different tourist attractions). Calling Europe from the NZ phone is more or less same price as using a European phone, so the NZ SIM is primarily good for local data transfer (Internet use) and local calls!

Call 200 from phone or 0800 022 022 (free number from NZ phone).

If you want USB broadband:
2degrees - 3G Mobile Broadband. Get Internet on your mobile - 2degrees
but it does not cover the whole of NZ.

there is no 2dregrees shop in NZ so you ned the sim before travel.
But Vodafone has a shop in airport Auckland and there you can buy prepaid sim!!
