Anyone else having a problem with their Callblue/GT-SIM at the moment? I recently switched it over and it worked well for a day or so. After that I could not receive incoming calls, make outgoing calls or send texts (tested in two different phones). GT tell me they are working on it but I have seen no sign of progress and it has been a few days. luckily it is not a problem for me right now as I am back in the UK at the moment.

I'd be interested to know if anyone else is having problems though or if it is just me.

Default CallBlue GSM Launches - 10-07-2007, 16:57

CallBlue GSM Launches – The World’s First Wireless Network Specialising in Global Roaming.

CallBlue GSM, the world’s first wireless operator to have its own proprietary network dedicated to international mobile roaming, launched yesterday.

By owning the technical infrastructure that underpins the service, unlike other roaming companies, CallBlue GSM has complete control over call costs, quality, security and billing. Callers will always receive the best signal from their handsets because all calls are switched directly from the home network.

By simply inserting a CallBlue GSM SIM card, customers have instant access to some of the lowest international call costs in over 115 countries. Using call-forwarding, users can ensure that calls to their normal UK mobile number can be answered on CallBlue GSM when roaming and in turn not incur any roaming charges. As a result, they can avoid the inconvenience of giving out a new number.

“Transparency is key,” says Les Green, Chairman of CallBlue GSM. “All CallBlue GSM SIM cards are pre-pay, and because we own the network, we can control the rates and the billing. To ensure price transparency and security, an SMS message is sent after each call, informing the caller of the costs, with no nasty surprises. Customers can also top up and check their balance either online or from their phone.”

Jay Shah, CEO and Founder of CallBlue GSM adds: “Launching CallBlue GSM is a significant milestone for me since I have been working on this project for over two years. We are committed to providing the best product, experience and service in global roaming for our customers. This service is a significant upgrade from other roaming packages currently on the market.”

Other benefits include features such as a personal CallBlue email account for each customer. Voice messages left on their CallBlue SIM will be automatically forwarded by email to their CallBlue inbox. Meanwhile, those who want to speak to several colleagues will be able to utilise a conference calling facility which allows up to 18 people (including non-CallBlue users) to take part in a conversation at once.

Last month, CallBlue GSM announced its partnership with PortaOne to provide its custom-developed PortaOne Billing 100 billing system. Previously, it was announced that Tecore would provide its high performance core network solution to ensure premium and low-cost roaming.

@new century.

First post and only here to advertise some more marketing crap. I get the impression that this is linked to callblue so why not call yourself callblue so eveyone knows.

Just looked at their new site and at tarrifs, http://www.callblue.com/website/Tariffs.html

incoming calls 20c /10p so far for freedom of roaming. It's not freedom it's just paying for roaming so nothing new here.

Bbob -
Please don't hold back. Tell us how you really feel!!
My main complaints are: (as mentioned above)
1. They don't tell you where they are located (a company address or phone number).
2. They don't tell you what kind of number you get. I assume it is a +44 number only because they say incoming in the UK is free.

Their rates are higher than most intl. cards - but still cheaper for most users than their home carriers would charge. Maybe they will give some CS that others seem to lack.

...mike

Make use of T-M's UMA/wifi free calling from any place in the world with access to wifi. I use an LG G6, wife an S7)
A/o Oct 20, 2013 no need for intl prepaid as T-Mobile U.S. includes voice roaming at 20¢/min (in and out)., unlimited text (in and out), and unlimited data in 140+ countries.

My Plan -[6 lines] U.S. T-Mobile unlimited minutes (incoming and outgoing), unlimited text, fast data on each line. that $145/mo. total! . (In U.S. no surcharge for calling a cell.) If a line exceeds 2G of data in a month, pay $10 more for that line. [That only happens a couple times/year.

So my post on the other thread, about where they are located, and what number is involved, was about complete figments of my imagination?

I received my replacement sim pack in the post this morning - the credit I had remaining on my old sim hasn't been transferred as promised

The number range I've been given is 44 7937, according to ukphoneinfo this is Jersey Telecom -
http://www.ukphoneinfo.com/search/Ph...7_code_79.html

The sim pack had a Borehamwood post office stamp on it, which does match where the site claims it is based (Elstree).

LOL ... if you've ever travelled on the Thameslink (train) from London to Luton Airport, you'ed know that Elstree and Borehamwood are about 10 metres apart! Infact they call the train station located so close, and between both, Elstree and Borehamwood Station.
