I wish I had found your forum last week. I can't tell you how much time I've wasted trying to learn about the different options for italian pre-paid sim cards. Your chart comparing TIM, vodophone, and WIND displays exactly what I was looking for. Just wish I had found it last week!

Thanks, and sorry if I put my thread in the wrong place.

We're going to be in Rome for five days and I've decided to get a WIND sim card after I get there. I've already found a WIND store on Via del Corso (thanks for google street view displays) that is close to where we're staying. And thanks to this forum, I'll tell the store to activate the "Call Your Home Country" option when they activate the SIM.
I'll try to report back on how easy (or not) it is... fingers crossed!
