I also saw that Travelsim lists Japan as a free incoming calls country.
I think this is very interesting for anyone travelling to Japan...

Yes, but Travelsim is another mistery, they say also free incoming calls in San Marino and not free in Italy... where San Marino has the same net id as TIM in Italy... oh they say also they cover Tokelau, where there is no GSM network!

I really found it strange too...
I thought that in San Marino the billing was made separatedly from TMS instead of TIM, so they could offer the free incoming cost.
And about Tokelau I thought that it was an error.

Does TIM in the GSM-on-Ships version have a different network code than "regular" TIM? AFAIR from discussions about GSM-on-Ships, it doesn't, however it ripps off at sea without any problem :P. Theoretically, TMS-TIM towers might be distinguished in some way as "floating towers" on ships, but in fact what for?

Off topic about Tokelau.
