Just saw your message Callfan - I used a German T-Mobile voucher to top up my mother's T-Mobile UK prepay account late last year. I got a sensible rate of exchange too.

Vodafone also allows this facility, albeit only in Europe.

Orange doesn't support this facility.

I thinkyou can also top up a T-Mobile prepay account online via the www.t-mobile.co.uk Web site.

Hope this info helps... Steve

You know..I just thought of something.

We could all really help each other by volunteering to get top up vouchers for various operators in our naitive countries, providing via e mail the number, and utilizing pay pal.

Attention Effendi and/or whomever...what about setting up something like that...we have lots of people say in the UK who can provide top up voucher numbers and/or Italy who can provide Italian top up voucher numbers and payments can be made via pay pal.

Sure, I'd be happy to anyone that needs help from the UK (or an Estonian SIM) like Jibku kindly helped me out with the NRJ French SIM.

I can help with Canada too, at least the providers whose cards I can get in my area (Saskatchewan). I can get Fido, Rogers, Telus and SaskTel and presumably Bell cards. The first two of those are GSM. The rest, well, pretend I didn't mention them.

CA: SaskTel, Wind postpaid; Rogers, Bell postpaid iPad flex plans; US: T-Mobile postpaid data, prepaid voice; PureTalk (AT&T MVNO) prepaid voice/data; AT&T prepaid iPad plan

Hardware: Too much but notably iPhone 5, iPad Mini Retina LTE, Moto G LTE (N.A. version), iPhone 4. All unlocked.

I have a shop just around the corner from me (in Greece, that is) that claims to top up foreign PAYG cards. T-Mobile and Orange are both listed. I wonder how they do it?

yet!

Unobtrusive, where in Greece are you? There are retail outlets in Greece who do supply foreign prepaid top up vouchers after entering into deals with those operators.

There are also unofficial retailers who just source top up vouchers from foreign countries then sell them on to customers after marking up the price slightly to make a profit.

I'm in Athens. I'm not really worried so much now. I just wanted to be able to credit my T-Mobile SIM so that I can make calls soon after getting off the plane but I see that most airports have a place to buy top-up's just after passport control anyway.
