Default Prepaid card in Greece - 19-03-2007, 17:30

Hi!

I'll go to Greece from 15 to 22 April, and I'd like to buy a prepaid SIM card.

Excluded TIM and Vodafone, what kind of offer could be cheap (the cost of SIM card, too) to call Italy?

Thank you guys!

If you would like to call Italy the cheapest option (directly) would be q card 1. It has 42 cents/min for Italy.
You can buy these cards from Athens cheaply (a few euros).

The Carrefour/Champion SIM's also have a rate of 0.42 to Italy. They also currently have an offer of double credit for in store top ups, so that would reduce the rate to 0.21/min.

Frog also has a charge of 0.42/min to Italy.

MoMad costs 0.59/min to Italy but currently has an offer for double credit with each top up, making it 0.295/min.

You have lot's of options if the main thing you want is cheap calls to Italy.

I'm thinking about a Frog Mobile sim card... but I'm a little unsure...

Where can I buy it?
Can I recharge it in every shop (post offices, newsagents, ecc...)?

Because I leave as a schooltrip, and I don't want to have problems...

PS: sorry for my english

You can recharge Frog (and any PAYG mobile) by buying cards from the "Periptero" (Kiosk) which you'll find on almost any street (in Athens at least). So you probably shouldn't worry

Yes probably

Even if the person at the kiosk doesn't speak English they will understand "frog".
