Quam started in germany some years ago - wanted to build a UMTS network -- and went bancrupt after a few months.
www.quam.de is still online though with contact info for warranty issues...

Quam started in November 2001 and was a joint venture between Telefonica and Sonera (now TeliaSonera). They used E-Plus' network at first and were going to establish their own UMTS network. Unfortunately, their service wasn't really well-established so they ceased operations in November 2002. Most of the customers migrated to T-Mobile and E-Plus took over Quam's UMTS infrastructure.

This was their logo:

Ciao and welcome

Well, I know who you are Anyway, an interesting story is Quam.de (still online, www.quam.de ). They had a start launch (in Italy we had only some tests) and customers too... but they finished before to have an active network

Some interesting news about Telefonica and Quam thanks to Wikipedia: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quam e http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quam

so you know http://www.ipsedosmil.it/ too

Well if you want a smile... http://www.telefonica.es/acercadetel...ria/2001.shtml

At least don't forget that... "Spanish operator Telefonica has lost its Swiss UMTS license, because it never used it. The company also invested nothing in the infrastructure as called for in the license from the Swiss communications commission.
Telefonica’s subsidiary 3Q Mobile AG gained the license in 2000 for CHF 50 million.
The communications commission also said applicants for the three available wireless broadband licenses will have to make a bid on June 6, and it will announce the winners on June 8.
" April 2006...
