1917 EST 10/12/05

Sorry to report

Enlinea 800 service to United-Mobile still down

CBW Pin2Dest...took my pin but again got a busy signal..

Got an e mail back from enlinea sayinbg they are working on it...can't believe it it's been out for a week as somebody stated that nobody has complained to them. They are usually quick to rectify problems.

Incidentalln net2phone also is not going through to my United-Mobile number however AT&T landline ld is...

Is there some sort of pattern emerging here?

Success....

Was able to complete a call into my FL sim via enlinea 800 service at 1929 EST (GMT-5) 10/12/05. Don't know of course whether that means problem is resolved.

BTW .1 minute is 6 seconds so .9 minute would be 54 seconds...I suppose on CBW j(and enlinea) you are billed from time you press the # key in making the call and I think 0.229 sounds about right for call from Polish landline to FL....call from FL to USA is 14?/minute via CBW and 12?/minute via enlinea...one reports calls in units of tenths of minutes the other in 6 second intervals but guess what, it's 6 of one and a half dozen of the other.

I was billed one full minute with PIN2DEST. But it has been my experience that BILLED call times are longer than actual talk time. Kind of a bummer, but we just have to live with it.

Glad it SEEMS to be fixed for you.

For my successful but unneeded test call you owe me 14 cents the next time we meet!

As to units, it's OK - tenths of minute are quite reasonable for 6/6 debiting. I was just a little surprised because AFAIR I've seen such a unit in the "official use".

As to CBW/Enlinea calling - yersterday (22:10 GMT+1) I couldn't even get a callback to my landline or mobile numbers (and didn't try "direct dial" 00800 number) .
Instead, I called my brother directly from a Heyah prepaid (at 51 cents/min, but zero problems with the connection!).

Since I started this thread, an update:

Monday 10:30am CEST I tried using Riiing and CBW while in Swizterland and it worked fine. Got a call back on the first try (in the past, sometimes it would take two tries)

Whole bunch of SIMs, mostly dead, some still working...

It looks like UM fixed some of the interconnect issues that have been affecting incoming calls for the last few months.

For the last week or so incoming calls as well as callbacks work flawlessly.
