Smile PrePaid GSM Card or SIM - 24-07-2009, 14:54

Good Day, This may be a silly question, but by prepaid GSM do you mean a purchased PrePaid GSM SIM card for use in any mobile? The site is a godsend as I was trying to find out a suitable SIM for infrequent visits to France.

I use to recommend Call-in-Europe for France because you only needed to top it up annually. I've heard that they've cut the cycle between recharges. Based on that, I really think you are better with a roaming SIM. French SIM cards seem to die without recharges real fast.

Many of the Jersey based SIMs have free incoming in France. Also watch Vodafone UK. If they extend their free roaming across the continent, this will be a great option.

PS: Yes, you are defining prepaid GSM correctly. Most of us own multiple unlocked GSM mobiles and are just looking for SIMs.
