Thumbs up Weak mobile phone signal in Spain - 08-08-2010, 15:19

Spain is a big country with quite a bit of the rural area's with weak GSM / UMTS signal coverage or none at all.

For those living in rural area's it's not easy to deal with - specially when there's no fixed line alternative

Here's a residential solution which made all the difference;

Cheap mobile phone weak signal booster

Also a bit about professional solutions and femtocells

When it comes to mobile internet access in rural Spain (among other European countries), you should make sure your 3G device supports UMTS at 900MHz, which is primarily used for rural coverage.
