Default Three Feel At Home Data - Deactivation - 22-03-2017, 20:58

I have Three sim card with 200mb of free monthly data. This is absolutely perfect for whatsapp and the occasional checking of email.

Only problem is that I never use it in UK. Today I received following sms:

Quote:
Hello. Feel At Home (FAH) is for UK customers going abroad for short trips. If you use it for 2 complete months in a rolling 12 month period we will turn off your international roaming services. As you have already roamed exclusively in our FAH destinations for at least 1 month in the last 12, we will switch off roaming if you roam exclusively in a FAH destination for a further month. See http://three.co.uk/FAH_use
Anyone have any tips on how to make sure the sim doesnt get deactivated?

ps: travelling to UK to "reset it" is not an easy solution for me

It says "2 months within 12 month period". Going to UK will not reset anything. You will have to wait 10 months after using it for 2 months before you can use the SIM again in roaming.

It says if you use 'exclusively'. I read somewhere that it resets if you go back to uk

There is no way to opt out of Feel At Home, and no way to prevent in being deactivated apart from returning it in the UK. If you have an hour or two to spare, read this thread (and there are several others like it):

i assume that more carriers will establish this kind of rules when they are not allowed to charge extra for roaming anymore in the muddle of this year.
