Default [France] new virtual operator? - 24-08-2008, 04:30

Just got back from a family vacation, and while in France we picked up a couple of prepaid SIMs at a tabac from a carrier called Mobiho, http://www.mobiho.fr/

15 Euro with an 8 Euro credit; 0.29 per minute to other Mobiho customers; 0.39 per minute to land lines (and 0.18 per minute to USA). Easy to set up and good signal everywhere we went -- no idea who the actual network provider might be.

Seems very reasonable for a short stay OR if one is a resident and just wants telephone service.

I had the TravelSIM and UM+ and I burned up some Euros on those. All sunk costs, so I did not need another SIM. However, for someone without an international SIM, this seems much better than most other French prepaids.

Maybe our French friends have some comments.

I find the postpaid card from Call in Europe to be the best deal for France.

Usage is US$0.39 a minute for national calls as well as calls to the EU and US/Canada. There is a minimum annual usage requirement of $60 to avoid a maintenance fee of $29.

Hi everyone I'm using Mobiho too espcially for international call due to their attractive price only €0.18/min to North America that amazing. Moreover their top up are easy to find in any tobacco store U can find it.
Finally if U R in France just for few days severla times per year U can take their ingenious option for €24 U have your line and credit available for 1 year!!!
I hope to gave U enough information about this virtual operator using Bouygues Telecom network
