Default T-Mobile (US) Open Europe data plan - 18-07-2012, 22:13

Some chatter on Howard-Forums about T-Mobile's new Open Europe data roaming plan. Article on Tmonews about this plan.

Essentially, T-Mobile postpaid customers can bolt-on a $50/mo option that allows unlimited data roaming in 28 countries. The first 500 MB/mo is full speed and after that you get throttled down but there seems to be no hard limit or overage charges.

TMobile's new plan kind of displaces it. You automatically get unlimited throttled data. You can top them off with high speed passes as follows:

100MB for a day for $15
200MB for a week for $25
500MB for two weeks for $50

I am not sure if you can buy multiple passes in the same month. I suppose if you were going to Europe for a month at a time, it might be a better deal to go with Open Europe, but the ability to bolt these on as needed make more sense.
