Default Question on Hop - 06-11-2007, 17:13

Hi. Quick question: my hop card has expired over a year ago (July 2006) but the account still appears to be active on their webiste. Anyone has any idea of what happens if I recharge the card now from the website? Considering the minimum amount of recharges, I would like to avoid the risk of losing the money or having to go through a nightmare to retrieve the same. Anyone who is still using Hop knows the answer?

Actually I would like to recharge it so that a friend of mine may borrow it for a trip to NYC - it's still the most competitive mobile offer for the US (especially inbound!!).

Thanks,

Sec

In my opinion, your card is definitly expired so you cant use it anymore. Anyway try to recharge it!

So what is the recharge VERSUS buying a T-Mobile prepaid off Ebay? Those can be very inexpensive. When used up, either refill or let it expire.

Thanks snaimon, I will probably go for t-mobile.

I sent an email to Hop, and received no reply yet. Their customer care is ringing but no answer... I wonder if they still exist (something I've been wondering ever since I saw they were indicating one of their competitors as their agent on their website - hopmobile.net!!)
