Default Travelling to Italy - 15-07-2007, 18:02

Ciao a Tutti!

I'm travelling to Italy from July 15th to Aug 5th and was wandering what are decent Prepaid packages running with the national operators.

I'm looking for a package that will have a fairly decent SMS/Voice rate back to canada so I can contact my family and friends.

I will be taking a W810i unlocked phone, in case it makes a difference.

Look here:

I suggest you to buy on ebay.com an italian sim card. (not very expensive abt 10 US$) and activate a callback service (i use Callback World, very ok, about 0,282 US$ to call Canada)
Rates from italian sims are abt 0,65 US$.
The cellphone is ok, but you need a simple dualband phone.
Here in italy, the Motorola MotoFone F3 (no WCDMA-UMTS) is sold at about 40 Euros.
Bye

Excellent..
I'm actually leaving tonight, i;ll be in italy on monday so I'll have to buy the sim at a shop. short notice i know but somebody on www.howardforums.com recommended this site here for prepaid.

the W810 i use in canada is unlocked anyway, and is quaqdband so it has GSM 900/1800 anyway.

i'll definately activate callback world though.
