Default TIM International Plan costs - 26-11-2012, 00:00

Hello,

I am going to be returning to Italy next month and using my TIM card from last December. It is still activated with 1,57 euro on the TC International New plan.

I am trying to figure out how much calling and texting will cost. I am interested to know the cost to call/text italian numbers, are all incoming calls free? Also what would the cost be to text or call a phone in USA on this plan. Also is there a special country code to enter to call/text to USA?

Thank you much for the help!

All incoming calls, while in Italy, are free of charge with ALL Italian plans.

Rates are the following:
Calls to Italian numbers: € 0.08/min (per minute billing) plus € 0.16 set-up fee
SMS to Italian numbers: € 0.15 per message
Calls to the USA: € 0.20/min (per minute billing) plus € 0.16 set-up fee
SMS to the USA: € 0.30 per message

To call/text the USA you have to dial the US prefix +1 plus the number.

Does the 250mb data plan have any overages if limit is exceeded, or is the data slowed/stopped?

You get reduced speed at 64kbps (almost unusable).

Thank you for the help thus far.

One question, I have a Lumia 710 Windows phone and I cannot add the + sign to the number to call/text, is there an alternative way?

I read 001 followed by the 10 digit US cell number will work

I have a Lumia 800 and I just press the 0 button for some seconds and it becomes a +, like with every other phone I had in my life. Anyway + or 00 it's the same in Italy, no problem.

Ciao!

Quick question, when does the monthly billing cycle renew? Say I activate a monthly data on December 30th, will it renew January 1 or January 30th?

Grazie per tutto!

Every 30 days. So if you activated it on Dec 30th it will renew on Jan 29th.
