@tux
You should perhaps make clear that it actually would work but at significantly higher (roaming) rates and that you need to purchase top-up vouchers from Italy in order to recharge an Italian SIM card.

terminals: Samsung: Galaxy S5 DuoS (G900FD); BLU: Win HD LTE; Nokia: 1200; Asus: Fonepad 7 ME372CG; Huawei data: E3372, Vodafone R201, K3765, E1762;
postpaid: O2 on Business XL; prepaid: DE: Aldi Talk, Lidl; UK: 3; BG: MTel, vivacom; RU: MTS; RS: MTS; UAE: du Tourist SIM; INT'L: toggle mobile
VoIP: sipgate.de (German DID); sipgate.co.uk (British DID); ukddi.com (British DID); sipcall.ch (Swiss DID); megafon.bg (Bulgarian DID); InterVoip.com

It will, but starting by 16th July, with Vodafone Smart Passport. With 3€/day, you'll be able to use Vodafone Italy bundles outside Italy. But at the moment, you can't. By the way, you can top-up Vodafone Italy sims with any european Vodafone voucher Take a look here: http://www.areaprivati.vodafone.it/1...internazionali

Is it just me, or do Vodafone Italy's roaming plans change faster than the weather? :P

By the way, does anybody know how they convert the currencies if you recharge your Vodafone card in a country which uses a different currency? Do they charge extra costs for this?

Mobile internet sim cards:
INT: abroadband, NL: Simyo, *bliep, BE: Colruyt Mobile, MEDIONmobile, LUX: Orange, PL: mBank Mobile,
DE: Congstar, MEDIONmobile, IE: Vodafone, CH: OK Mobil, SwissCom, SE: Telia, ES: MásMovil,
GR: Cosmote, IT: TIM, RO: Vodafone, RS: mt:s, BY: Privet, UA: Kievstar, MD: Moldcell

Feel free to consult me about sim cards in the Benelux and Poland.

It's written in that page: they will use European Central Bank's exchange rate, without extra charges.

Does this offer only apply to pay after subscribers? I have a Vodafone Italy prepaid SIM that I have not used yet but got to travel later in the year. I thought there was a 2.50 euro/day for 50Mb/day roaming plan.

This applies only to subscriber with a "Smart+" offer. The remaining customers still have 2.50€ for 50MB option.
