In December Avon Cosmetics Poland signed an agreement with Centertel (Orange). The launch is announced for spring. Poland is a "test field" for Avon in telecom business. It seems women will be the main target group (the Avon's motto is "the company for women"). On Polish forums many jokes about this fact appeared like "they will sell pink flower scenting SIMs"

. BTW, I wonder if there is anywhere a telecom brand addressed for women???

Another MVNO to roam in Orange will be operated by MNI a small telecom company (landlines in Eastern and Central Poland, long distance traffic, Internet provider, premium rate services provider). They want to create an over-the-border MVNO brand, simultaneously in Poland and in UK and Germany or Ireland. Probably the idea is to offer "ethnic" SIMs for Polish emmigrants abroad and Polish SIMs to their families and friends here with low international rates between Poland and abroad.

Also P4 started tests for selected users who signed on a special webpage. Those tests are in fact "guerilla marketing"

. As testers young and wealthy "trend setters" and "opinion leaders", mainly from Warsaw were chosen. They were provided with 3G phones and some money limit and they are obliged to use voice and data at least a few times a day. They have to return phones after the tests.
