Just found local O2 already offers My Europe package. You pay Euro 10 without VAT as monthly fee plus Euro 0.60 without VAT for outgoing minute. Incoming calls are free. Valid in Germany, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Spain and UK. Outgoing rate valid for all calls within the country of roaming plus to all numbers in Czech Republic except premium rate numbers. Not as bad as it looks at first sight.

This Europe is very small at the moment - only Czech neighbours + UK and Spain .
Moreover, I think that 60 eurocents/min excl. VAT is rather overpriced unless they provide good debiting - at least 10/10

The outgoing call price may not be cheap but getting free incoming in selected countries is quite good. Of course, I would recommend UM over O2.

And remember once you get free incoming, you can open a callback account and get for the most part get very cheap rates for outgoing.

Just don't forget. It does include calls from mobile to mobile. I am interested if O2 in other countries does already offer same service.
For Przemolog: On one side you are right. It's just a few countries. But on other side it is about 80% of roaming calls traffic. The option is to add up Italy, Croatia for summer plus France and Greece in future. It is nice to be maximalist, but than the price will differ. BTW I will not use this service.

O2 UK has had a promotion with calls throughout Europe costing 35p/minute to make and receive still now as low as it should be but better than it has been.

Yes, I realise that. By "overpriced" I meant mainly calls to landlines .

Meir, I don't claim that this offer is bad but its name amuses me a little anyway - I would name it rather "My Neighbours" .

Interesting. Some time ago O2 suggested that they would introduce free incoming roaming, but it is a pity that they have put a monthly charge on it.

Whilst 35p a minute is not that cheap, it is about the same as most global SIMs rates for calling mobiles (59c), and not everyone uses different callback ...

There is one more thing to mention. You can you use My Europe service when roaming on any operator within the given countries. Not like Vodafone or T-Mobile using their networks only.
