Country:
Default Telenor Denmark is withdrawing its brands - 01-03-2016, 11:12

The prepaid market in Denmark is shrinking once again. Telenor, one of the major providers in the country, has decided to withdraw completely from the prepaid / pay-as-you-go market by end of March 2016. This affects its own Taletidskort product as well as its sub-brands CBB Mobile, One mobile and Colour Mobile. More than 200.000 customers will be shut off.

This is the 2nd operator after 3/Tre some years ago did the same that is concentrating all its efforts on postpaid customers. Lebara mobile seems to be the only major reseller of Telenor/Telia combined networks left in the country.

The decision looks very hurried. They stop selling SIM cards already at the end of March 2016 in kiosks. They say that you have grandfathering using your own prepurchased credit until the end of validity. But this means too that you can't buy new credit for all of their prepaid products after March 2016.

There are still a few prepaid offers left in the country available past March 2016: Lebara mobile on Telenor, Oister on Tre, Telia Talk and Ringo on Telia and Lycamobile on TDC network.
