Hello all,
I just received a Tim sim, and i popped it into my android phone. After booting up i immediately started to receive SMS from TIM. Quote:
How do i turn it off? im guessing TIMinViaggioInternet OFF SMS to 40916? The sms mentions data protection also. I would like this to be on. Is it PROTEZIONESTERO ON to 40916? Thank you very much!. |

All correct, you have the TIM in Viaggio Internet option on and the Protezione Off.
Write PROTEZIONESTERO OFF to 40916 to have it active again. I am travelling to Italy in Nov.
How do I purchase a TIM Welcome pack before I arrive in Rome? I was told it takes a bit of time to buy one in Italy because of the need to register with passports. Thanks |

No official way to buy it in advance. For registering it can take 10/15 minutes. Maybe the card is not active at once, but usually TIM is quite fast.
