Default Want to Cancel Blau Data Plan, Need Help From Someone Who Reads German - 10-06-2010, 19:05

I have a 30 day flat rate data plan from Blau.de. I just got back to the US from Germany and want to cancel the data plan. Unfortunately, I can't read German so can't figure out how to cancel. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

According to the German prepaid wiki you can disable the data flat through the voice menu at 1155. Since this site and blau.de lack any further information on the structure of the voice menu I can't provide detailed instructions.

postpaid: O2 on Business XL; prepaid: DE: Aldi Talk, Lidl; UK: 3; BG: MTel, vivacom; RU: MTS; RS: MTS; UAE: du Tourist SIM; INT'L: toggle mobile
VoIP: sipgate.de (German DID); sipgate.co.uk (British DID); ukddi.com (British DID); sipcall.ch (Swiss DID); megafon.bg (Bulgarian DID); InterVoip.com

Chris,

I'm still having problems. The instructions seem straighforward and easy enough but when I dial 1155, the call goes through, there is an automated message that I don't understand and then the call disconnects. I wish I knew what I am doing wrong.

Are you actually in Germany? In case you're not, this service number may not be reachable from abroad.

Then you should contact customer care through the contact form and ask them to disable your "Daten-Flatrate", since you can't call 1155 from the US.

P.S.: If your credit is lower than € 19.80 the data plan will be disabled at the beginning of the next billing period automatically anyway, so you don't need to take any action.

That's good to know. I thought they would debit the credit card I have on file... I sent the e-mail yesterday. I figure the worst that can happen is I'll keep it until I get back to Germany in September.
