ekitguy

nice to have you here. I do have a question about caller id. I have used another uk based sime befre same platform and had no problems receiving caller id. When using your sim I don't seem to get caller id on incomming calls. Tested this in Beglium, Netherlands, Austria, Hungary but no incomming caller id.

what is the reason behind this not working, it's working on your competitors sims using the same platform.

Agreed. I know our CS guys would enjoy being able to offer this, it's a common request. We have some modifications of our US service in the works, no word I can offer yet on if this will effect the way we distribute US area codes. It is random at the moment. I'll definitely raise it, something we can look to adding to the dev pipeline.

Hi bbob,
we run our own platform. Other competitors have their own platform but use the same underlying operator for their roaming service. Several of our interconnect providers have issues supporting caller id, which they have not been able to fix. The US part of our service has much better support for caller id.

Regards,
Rupert

Since we have the eKit CTO here... Any plans to offer SIP interconnect? I'd rather pay you a fee to terminate my calls via SIP to your softswitches than to use third parties to route the call to your IoM or US DID pools.
