OK I signed up for the cheap international calls but Vodafone still charges 20p/minute for local calls. I've ordered a Nomi sim and will see how it works next time we are through Gatwick.

Well I have tried out Nomi in England. It works great! Long distance to Canada is now 3p/min. and best of all I can top up on line using my Canadian credit card.

nomi mobile canīt make call to any mobile and canīt send text messages from 6 may. More information: UK MVNO Nomi-Mobile and Nomi-Call prepaid calling cards has gone into receivership Prepaid MVNO

Well I just learned Nomi has gone bankrupt. So much for cheap calls!
