Well both Talafone and Xfone have a lot of work to do before I'll invest in one of their SIMs. I just don't like trying to guess what a product is all about.

It does look like another Isle of Man based SIM. No?

It looks like the same IoM SIM rebranded

Move fast - only 1 million numbers available!

(fewer than that actually, as they won't start with 0)

However, it did prompt me into noticing Japan on the list, which I know DRN and one or two others are interested in.

I just checked the rates on the CallKey site - US$ 0.1854 + vat for outgoing, free incoming. Sorry about that - I should have looked before

Andy, could you please toss me a URL. I'd be very interested in this. Frankly, I'm bewildered by all the new international SIMs out there. I recall when SwissCom's easyRoam was the only international prepaid.

Unfortunately CallKey only show the tariffs on secure pages when logged in to the account. The SIM is only shown on their ordinary site as a forthcoming product

0044 don't have Japan shown on their site yet
http://www.0044.co.uk/callcalculator/calcu...?Action=compute

And Geodesa's offshoot site doesn't have enough tariff info yet either, but says it may be updated ... http://www.globalsimcard.co.uk/save.htm

I'll phone CallKey, or you could - both UK and US numbers

And seeing as this thread is about comparing SIMs, as the OP said, I'll point out that the Talafone and X-fone products both appear to be CallKey rebrands but at substantially higher tariffs, and also higher than UM so this discussion isn't quite as off-topic as it might be
