Call Ya Comfort rewards credit replenishment with free calls at the weekend

Hanover, 9 March 2006. Vodafone is launching a new 'intelligent' prepaid tariff at CeBIT. The new Call Ya Comfort tariff's replenishment bonus means 15 euros and more of free call time every time credit is purchased. Whenever the user replenishes his Call Ya credit, he receives one month's worth of free calls to the German Vodafone network at the weekend. And there's more: every Call Ya Comfort credit purchase is associated with a reduced per-minute rate for one month. Text message prices also cost less when credit of EUR 25 or more is purchased. Call Ya Comfort can be booked from 3 April 2006 onwards.

Replenish your credit and go easy on your Call Ya account for a month with the new Call Ya Comfort prepaid tariff. As soon customers replenish the credit in their account, they receive one whole month's worth of free national standard calls to the German Vodafone network at weekends. Customers who choose Call Ya Comfort also profit in other ways. Whatever the amount of credit purchased - 15, 25 or 50 euros - the per-minute call rate is reduced for one month starting on the replenishment date. The principle is simple: the more credit you purchase for your Call Ya account, the lower the per-minute rate that you pay for your calls.

There are three rate reductions, depending on whether 15, 25 or 50 euros of credit are purchased. Under the basic tariff, standard calls to the German fixed network or the Vodafone network cost EUR 0.39 per minute. When EUR 15 of credit is purchased, the per-minute rate falls to EUR 0.29, and to EUR 0.19 per minute when credit of EUR 25 is purchased. Customers can make the highest savings by purchasing EUR 50 of credit which reduces the per-minute rate for national standard calls to the German Vodafone network to EUR 0.15. At the same time, the cost of national standard calls to other mobile networks is reduced from EUR 0.69 to EUR 0.59, EUR 0.49 and EUR 0.39 respectively. Another advantage is that credit purchases of EUR 25 and more reduce the price of national standard text messages from EUR 0.19 to EUR 0.15.

The reduction of the Call Ya Comfort tariff applies for one month from the last credit replenishment. The tariff level is always oriented on the highest amount of credit purchased. If the customer doesn't purchase additional credit before the end of the month, the basic tariff is reinstated. Credit purchases made on the same calendar day are added together as the basis for the tariff reduction.

New customers who choose Call Ya Comfort and purchase a Call Ya Box with UMTS phone can also enjoy the Happy live! UMTS option for three months free of charge. They can watch all the mobile TV channels, surf the Vodafone live! portal free of charge and they get one free music download per month. After the first three months, the Vodafone Happy live! tariff option costs 5 euros a month. It can be cancelled monthly.

Call Ya Comfort is available for new customers from 3 April 2006 and existing customers can switch over to it free of charge. New and existing customers can register in advance for the new tariff from 9 March 2006 onwards.

So it looks like Vodafone is finally getting smart and reducing their prepaid CallYa prices. Perhaps we can change the CallYa Info on the Germany page when the time comes.

The usual shit of Vodafone, more "asterisks" than normal rates, too many conditions to be satisfied to have a tariff you can have at any time with Simyo/Blau or Aldi Talk... It's no use, unless you don't have e-plus coverage.

Yep, I think this is more a offer for existing CallYa customers to prevent them from switching to an MVNO.

Lots of negative vibes over on telfon-treff.de, too, about this new offer.

Basically the same point as Effendi makes. To benefit you need to feed the beast regularly or at least before you intend to use it.
