Just a quick note to anyone planning on going to bulgaria ... DO NOT buy a
vivatel sim card... the reason being is that the operator installed their network cells throught the conutry, on grounds of an old AMTS licence, and now they have been forced to relocate most of their network equipment...

Therefore there is constant signal loss in sofia, and in most of the outer parts of the city you will not be able to make or receive calls as the cells are in diagnostic mode

Wow, that's a bad situation for Vivacell and its customers... don't they have a national roaming agreement with at least one of the other 2 operators?

No they dont, the operator belongs to the Bulgarian Telecommuncations company so the other two operators are NOT keen on it existig in the market..


And besides it was meant to launch 6 months earlier but M-Tel delayed the connection of the networks by an extremeley long time, and Vivatel by law
could not start selling sims
