I think it's a great phone. Really complete. Wonderful reception and network management, the only little things are: you cannot lock it in 3G-mode (except if your network operator is UMTS-only), and the radio has no RDS...
What do you think of this phone? I am curious to share opinions and experiences.

I have it since less than a month, and I am quite satisfied with it.

Even if it has some "issues" compared to my good ol' 6630

I agree with you about the radio. I played a little with a SE K600 that has FM radio with RDS, and I am wondering why Nokia did not implement that feature.

I hate anyway that when I use the "red" key, it closes the application instead of putting it in background

Also, I have had network problems using it with 3. After some "switches" between 2G roaming and 3G, sometimes happened that it would never find any more networks and I needed to manually turn it off and then back on.

Apart from this, I like it very much

Have sold a few in Australia (Vodafone) and have no problems with it. Other than the size.

I havent had or heard of any problems with switching between 3and 2.5g but having said that Vodafone in Adelaide have only 2 cells that are 3g active ATM.

Well, you say enough by saying too little...
Why did you return the phone? What specifically did you prefer in the V3X and/or disliked in the N70?

very slow, horrible menu (same as the 6680), i disliked the grainy pictures.

Also was unable to properly connect my calls in conference mode, kept dropping one of the callers. What else ...

v3x is just another class
