DNS and WIND on google brought up the following adresses which you can try:

dns.wind.it 212.245.255.2
dns2.wind.it 212.245.158.66
dns.inwind.it 212.141.53.123
dns2.wind.it 212.245.158.66

There's no need to put the DNS, they should be recognized automatically. Just use the APN internet.wind, nothing else is needed.
For the Codice Fiscale it's a problem, you ALWAYS need it, for example to register with 155.it which is very useful.

Hi,

I just returned from Rome and I had no problems at all with the Wind Prepaid card. Thanks again for the great service you are offering
I still have one question: before I left Italy I sent a SMS to cancel my mega no limit option. When I check my credit at 155.it I still have the option listed with the remaining balance. How do I know, if the otion is canceled or will renew at 29th of July.

Any help is appreciated.

Jan

It should be deactivated after the 30 days. Did you receive an SMS confirming the deactivation? (I'm not sure if it must arrive, but it would be logical....)

I have the same problem : I received my Wind in June and, as my french data offer was valid untill yesterday, I only activated the PASS option, to make a test. (It works fine - thank you Andrea!)

Next month, I want to activate the MEGA NO LIMIT option, so I sent an SMS to cancel the PASS, and I haven't received any confirmation. The PASS is still listed and there is no date shown in "Data Disattivazione".

I was wondering if I had not done it correctly, but it seems that I'm not the only one...

I'll send a request to Customer Care and keep you informed...

Buirunus Effendi,

After my try to activate a GPRS from a 155.it website, I've got a next answer:
Quote:
Variazione del Contratto - Attivazione GPRS di Wind

ATTENZIONE!!!!

Impossibile proseguire con l'attivazione del servizio, in quanto il suo contratto ? attualmente in lavorazione.
Is somth. wrong I did? and how to manage it, since I'm outside Italy allready?

Thank you.

You just have to wait a bit since it seems your sim-card is not active yet...

a76. Great instructions! Thanks for putting that together.

I'm using the WIND data service in Canada using the Rogers network. I first setup and had the data service running on my Ericsson T39m using the dialout number *99***1#. However, when I tried to use the data service using my Audivox SMT5600 (Orange SPV C500), I could not connect without using dialout number *99#. The dialing string I use for both phones is +CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet.wind"

One other user, flaminghomer, had indicated that on his phone (not sure what it is), he was using the *99***1# number, but, his dialing string was AT+CGDCONT=2,IP,internet.wind

I'm still trying to understand why the Audiovox can't use the *99***1# number and had to use the *99# number.

Has anything changed?
I just checked. Unfortunately no 3G with any networks in Greece.
