Most consumers are unable or unwilling to use alternatives and the fact people pay those € 0.19 for 160 bytes justifies the price. Transfering one Megabyte by SMS would so cost € 1245,18
But at least here in Germany a lot of people are guided by the highly subsidized handset prices when closing a contract while disregarding the tariffs. postpaid: O2 on Business XL; prepaid: DE: Aldi Talk, Lidl; UK: 3; BG: MTel, vivacom; RU: MTS; RS: MTS; UAE: du Tourist SIM; INT'L: toggle mobile VoIP: sipgate.de (German DID); sipgate.co.uk (British DID); ukddi.com (British DID); sipcall.ch (Swiss DID); megafon.bg (Bulgarian DID); InterVoip.com |
