Default O2 Internet Settings - 22-05-2013, 21:59

I have an unlocked Samsung Note SGH-1717. I plan to use the O2 International Sim for my upcoming visit to the UK for voice and data. Does anyone know if the Internet settings will configure automatically or will I have to put them in manually? If I do have to put them in manually, how complicated is it? Thanks!!

Usually when you first log in your home network you will receive configuration messages and the phone will be configured automatically. you might be asked to save and confirm.
sometimes the messages will also contain text with the apropiate settings, just in case.
my giffgaff -o2 network- used last week did fine on configurating automatically! (i don´t remember if i was asked for save or confirm)
no settings in the texts.

If they don't arrive automatically, send a text message ACTIVE to 2020

Based on everything I'm reading, and I hope I'm wrong, setting for Samsung Android phone have to go in manually.

I wonder if it will be easier to use my old iPhone 3GS?

As I'm sure you've all guessed, I'm not very tech savvy. If 3 UK or Lebara would be easier to use, or more compatible, I'd consider it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
