Default Reasonable roaming rates are back for Canadian GSM customers (postpaid only) - 23-06-2009, 17:59

Fido and Rogers introduced new International Roaming packs that finally give postpaid customers reasonable rates overseas.

Full details can be found here: http://www.fido.ca/web/page/portal/F...oInternational

As an example, the CALA (Caribbean & Latin America) pack gives you up to 70 minutes of use for C$90 and the overage is $1.29. CALA includes both Cuba and Mexico, well known for expensive roaming.

I guess we are going to lose Vlad here. He is going to just trade in Sim4Travel, eKit, and Asterisks server for the new Roger's discounted international roaming.

I do agree with Vlad about Cuba, however. That is a bargain.

I wouldn't go that far. They would need to drop their rates by at least another 50% to get me to get rid of my ziploc bag full of SIM cards.
