Default I lost my United Mobile Pin - 26-05-2007, 04:24

I have 2 UM sim cards that are still active, but I can't find the original cards they came with that has the pin numbers for each.
I have contacted UM support, but no reply yet.

Is there anyway to reset or recover the pins?

I travel in one week so am rushing to get this solved.

Thanks!
Dan

Yes. Contact UM support via telephone and ask for the PUK code.

Well I have an email to them, hopefully they will reply. I take it that each card has a unique PUK code?

Thanks

Default Help! only 5 days left and UM cust service is SLOWWW!!! - 29-05-2007, 05:56

Well UM customer service finally sent me an email, about 36 hours after I filled out a support form. All they did was to ask for more information. So far it has been another 36 hours without a response from them.

I leave for Berlin in 5 days and I'm not hopeful this will be resolved by then.

Would I be better to make a call to them? I am in the US, so the call could be expensive. The problem is that I never registered the cards on their site, so they don't know they are mine.

What card can I buy once I get to Germany? I am just looking for a card to use while in Germany with callbackworld. So I need free incoming for the call back to work. I already have an account with CBW, so changing the incoming number with them should be quick.

Ideas?

Thanks
Dan

If you only want to use callback you can buy any german prepaid card you can get your hands on. We all have free incoming here.

I got Sunsim, which has 8c calls to German landlines, and will use it with Voipcheap callthrough, 1c to USA and about 40 countries (this VC account is nominated for Germany)

Or you could Blauworld, which has cheap int'l rates, direct-dialled

Either of these outgoing rates are cheaper than callbacks with a German mobile
