Default Mobistar looks Orange now - 05-02-2016, 14:36

Belgium operator Mobistar was acquired by Orange/France Télécom long ago. They now hold a 53% majority share.

Finally, they decided to get rid of the old name Mobistar and their logo and rebrand into Orange by the end of the year. That's a real loss, take a look at their current logo: "Love - Work - Play - Mobistar": https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...bistar.svg.png. It was one of the last multi-coloured logos of any operator with some kind of message whatever you make out of it. Isn't it what life is all about: love, work and play? Who does logos like this anymore? Now their image will be streamlined and drenched in orange.

Nowadays, all providers want to be identifed by a single colour only: red, blue, green, orange or pink (sorry: magenta). Orange went one step further by adopting the name of a colour back in the 80s as brand. There used to be a time when a carrier shook the market by new or better products. Today, it looks much more that everybody offers the same only marketed in different colours. Why do they still have brand names after all: one colour seems to be sufficient.
