Default 10 days in Italy... - 12-03-2011, 19:18

We're going on our first trip abroad and I was looking at the various options available. It gets confusing fast.

I have an iPhone which is locked in and the service provider doesn't want to unlock it while it's under contract. So I bought a Motorola Razr V3 - unlocked.

I'm looking at SIM options and found various sites selling cards.

ekit, Cellular Abroad and Brightroam are the ones I looked at. Should I bother with this kind of service or simply buy a SIM on site?

We're landing in Rome and we have to take the train to Venice on arrival. I assume I should be able to find a SIM at either location relatively easy?

The thing I found with the resellers above is that the local rates are pretty high @ 99 cents/min.

Any good suggestions? I don't care about data...

Thanks!

Marc
