AFAIK this is not correct. medionmobile follows the same rules as e-plus' traditional prepaid product, Free & Easy -- you get one year of prolonged validity with every € 15 top-up, up to a maximum of
2 years.
The SIM I have here that has been used for 3G data and thus recharged somewhat extensively up until a few months ago is stated as valid until September 6th, 2009 under 1155.
