Telna can't send SMS but can receive

I'm a brand new Telna customer in the US. I can't send SMSes but can receive. This is to US mobile phones - 3 different carriers. I entered a ticket over the weekend (when I discovered it) and also called support at noon yesterday. Support took the details and promised a technician would get back to me. Nothing yet. Curious as to why the SIM shouldn't work "out of the box" so to speak.

No problem with my Telna. SMS works fine. May just be an issue with your sim which their customer service will look into.

I have the same problem with SMS messages can be sent can not receive and It is good that we do not need so many sms.

TELNA is good when using SIP-CALL, the tariff is very good for the world and incoming calls are free.

I just want to mention that this was yesterday and my son (he uses this sim) did not report any problems with sms. I will test it later today when I get home.

I have the reverse problem. I can receive but, but not send.

Btw, anyone have any experience with Telna customer service? It's been over 24 hours with no response.

Bossman 25-04-2012 11:23

Yes. sms sending does NOT work. I was wondering why my son did not respond to my sms (he did, but I just did not get it). He was also wondering why his friends did not respond to the sms he sent. Thank god sms sending within the US to a US number is free , because it's certainly showing up in call history as sent.

They told me around noon Eastern time today that they'd fixed my issue and my rudimentary experiments (sending SMSes) at that point were successful. And you're right, it did show up as sent in the logs. Curious as to how telna operates ... I'd have thought that TMobile on which we're roaming in the US would be handling SMS, but Telna obviously has their hooks in there some place. Anyone know? I'm new in this forum and a quick search didn't see any discussion of this aspect?

Anyway, let us know when your SMS sending is fixed.

So, how long have you had Telna? And, how often (as far as you know) do things break? Curious when sending last worked for your son before this "outage".

I just sent and received several test messages. No problems at all.
