Mexico - Mexico City and Veracruz
 

of all of the times for me to misplace my UM card!!

We're going on a quick trip this Thursday. Need to know if I can buy the Telcel sim card at LAX, or at the airport in Mexico City (during connection).
OR - can I buy Telcel in Veracruz??

If it's a quick trip, and you already have service with a GSM carrier, you may as well just roam if roaming is available on your service. Mexican prepaids are not neccessarily cheap. Your UM card would have come in handy....even thought it's expensive to use there too.

I usually roam in the UK and Europe - completely ignorant about Mexico - I'll probably keep using one of our mobiles on tmo - I finally found our UM card ( 2.49/min!!! - but I still have credit left ) . I still might pick up a sim card in Veracruz, since I've got quite a few people to touch base while there. (family reunion)
