AT&T GoPhone (PAYG) now roams in Canada!
https://www.paygonline.com/websc/rat...ateplan_en.jsp - rates are shown here, but not bad at all for occasional use (don't touch data though!). Travellers to Canada now have yet another option at their arsenal.
Nice to see now that both national GSM operators in the US roam in both Canada & Mexico (with T-Mobile very recently opening roaming up to a number of countries outside NA too, though at pretty high prices). |
Confirmed. I turned on the GoPhone SIM I have in my unlocked iPhone 3G and it found Rogers eventually. I can't tell if it registered on 3G or 2G but it registers, which is far more than it used to.

In BC, my AT&T Go Phone sim now registers on Rogers (both 2G and 3G), but not Telus (3G).

Aha, should have checked this thread first. If there's someone in the UK who can test this, we can find out whether this was just an omission. Roaming works fine in Germany.

I suspect it's just a mistake on the rate sheet and it will work in the UK. especially since other countries such as Spain, France, etc are all on there.
