Will US Tmobile prepaid work in Italy?
 

Howdy!

When we went to Portugal last spring to my immense surprise when I got off the plane I had phone service with my Tmobile prepaid. I don't remember the network and I don't want to know how much the calls and texts cost (I used it very sparingly) but it was great to have the service available when we needed it.

Anybody know if I'll get the same pleasant surprise when I go to Italy and Switzerland in June?

Tmobile prepaid has had international roaming for at least 2 years. Worked for me in Jamaica in 2012(Saved me there when my international sims did not work). Phone also registered in Nigeria and UK last year. Did not need to use it there since I had sims for those countries. Like you said, the tmobile prepaid roaming rates are steep, but it's good to know one has the option.
