Ominous message from Piranha Mobile re:AT&T in USA

I received this from Piranha Monday morning:
Quote:

We have received information that may or may not effect AT&T in the USA. We have been informed that AT&T are increasing their roaming rates to an unsustainable level, therefore from the 01-04-2015 AT &T will be no longer available. The information provided is totally out of our control and we can only apologise for the very short notice period we were given.

We are working hard to see if this can be avoided, but until we have a definite answer we ask all customers to check there roaming profiles within their online account, making sure that there Sim card is set to Piranha Mobile Profile 1, which will allow access to the T-Mobile network. Any customers who fail to move there roaming profile by the 1-04-2015 will be automatically moved by our system, users will then be required to power off, power on their handset for change to take effect.

Regards from
Piranha Mobile Admin team.

T-Mobile has been complaining to the FCC that AT&T charges them much more than they charge international roaming partners. I suspect that this may be part of AT&T's response.

One can change the network profile using SMS in the USA

Have T-Mobile's data rates always been better than AT&T's on Piranha?

Anyway, if you are in the USA and do not have access to Piranha's
website it is possible to change the 'profile' so you can change networks
from your phone.

Culled and edited from the User Guide:
Quote:

j.Change roaming profiles.
Changing roaming profiles will give the user access to alternative networks in the US.
You can either change via your on-line account or by SMS protocol.
To change via SMS, text PROFILE to 222, this will return a list of profiles
or to change directly text 316 to 222 to change to profile AT&T (US).
For default/standard profile, text 315 to 222.
And yes they charge to send SMS.
I was not able to do the 'profile' method.
The direct method did work.
