Belgian SIM for day trips once/twice per year

I visit Belgium once or twice per year during the day and find it frustrating that I lose data connectivity while I am there using a non-Belgian SIM card.

I would therefore like to obtain a Belgian nano-SIM that will remain valid without top-ups and which charges a reasonable price for data (i.e. up to €0.10/MB). I looked at Viking Mobile but their SIM cards expire 6 months after the last top-up, even if you still have credit and have used it in the last 6 months. One top-up should last me several years and frequent top-ups would make it more expensive than roaming with a foreign SIM card.

Are there any others I should consider? I am next visiting Belgium on Saturday.

I notice that Mobistar and Proximus supply free nano-SIMs on their web sites. Does this free price also apply to their shops? I might need to obtain one just to port the number to another network.

I don't know if Lycamobile provides nano SIMs, but they now offer data as part of their Belgian service at €0.10/MB.

No top-ups are required, just a chargeable activity every 120 days.

That's perfect. Thanks! I hadn't noticed that Lycamobile operates in Belgium.

One potential problem though - at http://www.lycamobile.be/en/nationalrates it says "Lycamobile mobile internet is only available to Lycamobile PLUS customers to use in Belgium". What is Lycamobile PLUS? I can find instructions on how to transfer to it but what else does it entail?

I guess customers on the Plus tariff simply get bonuses for each recharge and as usual for Lyca all offers are of very limited validity and may be changed at short notice:

Fot those interested, here are Lyca's instructions to switch tariffs:

Lyca moved its customers from one network to the other. The new network is the "PLUS". This is a fairly recent change as a card I activated last December is a non-PLUS one.
